Since it is practically impossible to conduct ultrasound into the human body through air, ultrasound gel is used to create good contact between the ultrasound sensor-emitter and the patient's skin. Ultrasound gels are jelly-like compositions of various colors and odors, which are absolutely safe, do not cause allergic reactions, are easily washed off and do not leave stains on clothes.
As a contact substance in ultrasound diagnostics.
Clean and degrease the patient's skin. Apply the required amount of gel in a thin layer directly into the patient's skin. After completing the ultrasound examination, wipe off any remaining gel from the patient's skin or the sensor with a paper or cotton cloth moistened with water. If signs of irritation appear on the patient's hypersensitive skin, discontinue use of the gel.
High-viscosity gel designed specifically for laser procedures.
As a contacting substance.
Clean and degrease the patient's skin. Apply the required amount of gel in a thin layer directly to the patient's skin. Connect and use the device in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions. After completing the procedures, wipe off any gel residue from the patient's skin or from the sensor with a paper or cotton cloth moistened with water. If signs of irritation appear on the patient's hypersensitive skin, discontinue use of the gel.
To obtain high-quality ECG recordings over a long period of time, it is necessary to use a special conductive gel. The composition developed for the gel actually takes into account signal enhancement, preventing any type of anomaly and providing users with constant reliable control during both long and complex tests.
